    the only prob u might run into is most air temp senders are plastic around a metal sensor coolant temp senders are brass so they very slowly change resistance air temp senders change quick due to air temps variations I have seen in the early days bosch air temp senders that were brass...

    hey George the ecu part number is 89661-50590 it looks same as one in your non smart pic but don't know why it has an external immob ecu the wiring from usa model matches close to this but it has a big chunky ignition switch and plastic key with no metal part of the key going by diagrams...

    I just compared this ecu to your pics and its an early one looks just like the 1uz vvti and im pretty sure when I looked at key it was a 4c transponder so ill try my 1uz vvti bypass module on it

    there is afew brands of gps modules in usa and china but since I try to use high quality stuff I buy some modules from my supplier in Australia much better quality but they are double the price like most things in life u get what you pay for

    maybe just take it to someone who knows what they r doing and stop staring at the stars when u remove auto the engine will not crank so u have to join two wires on the inhibitor plug one is the sta and one is the nsw once they r joining it means the engine ecu thinks its it park or neutral...

    cut the sta and the nsw wire from the ecu and see if that makes a difference if not then just fit the auto back in surely theres someone over there u can take it to to fix it

    never had any problems wiring them up in manual form did u join the start inhibitor wires together how about cut those wires and do not have any wires from auto connected clutch start car as without those wires connected it wont crank then road test it see if problem is still there

    who needs diagrams just do more of them and everything will be remembered in your head I don't think its the lack of documentation I think its the lack or using good electrical stuff unless u do this day in and day out most backyarders just goto supercheap or repco to get bits n pieces...

    2 negatives here in Australia is price and if its in US dollars we get shafted even more the other is a lot of guys want to get rid of the air flow meter if someone was smart they would make adapter kits to make the megasquirt plug into some 1uz ecu plugs another thing like zuffen said...
