Which Sc Do You Like Out Of These?

All of those motors except for the last one are JZ family motors.

    1UZFE Boosted in S13 240sx

Is this one of the turbo engines? You have to remember, the 1UZ was designed as a naturally aspirated engine. It's much easier to push high horsepower levels out of turbocharged engines (I've seen 500+ on stock 4g63's... 2.0L 4-cylinder). That's the only real downfall of the 1UZ internals...

    1UZFE in a 200sx s14A

That's a nice looking car. 1UZ in an S14... awesome!

Stroking the 1UZFE and 8 throttle bodies

The rod journal diameter of the 1UZ is 52mm. I would suggest using a stock crank with an offset grind down to a rod journal diameter of 42mm. It's very easy to find 45mm rods to use with that journal size (if you can't find them at the 1UZ width, .904", then you can always widen the journal a...

    8 Throttle Body Intake

How do you figure? If the plenum is before the throttle bodies, it won't ever see vacuum. The easiest way to deal with the vacuum situation, and it's really not that hard, is to just tap a source off of each runner, to a separate container. Then you could even mount the MAP right off of that...

    Valve Guide Bosses

Just to clarify, I was talking about cribbj's head picture. mycarhasposessedme, is that a 1UZ head?

    Valve Guide Bosses

It looks to me from that head picture that the limiting factor for valve sizing is going to be the gap between the valve and the spark plug. It doesn't look like there's a whole lot of room there... of course, with a 1mm oversize valve, you're only getting .5mm closer to the plug... Should be...

    1UZFE in a 200sx s14A

I'd like to see this happen. The reason is that the Nismo SR20 sequential 6-speed box is fairly inexpensive... a bit over 3 grand. It'd be nice to be able to hook that to a 1uz!

a little off the path of you guys doing swaps...

That's pretty weird, I mean I know the 2JZ isn't a torque monster, but I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of low-end grunt the RB25DET-powered Skyline GTS-t had. It certainly wasn't flying at low rpms without full boost, but it could pull the car uphill pretty well in higher gears. I...

    superchargers

Hmmm... that's a good idea. I like the fact that the centrifugal does not have to take up a bunch of room on top of the intake manifold. I am sure I would also enjoy the powerband too. :) Now I just have to decide whether or not I want to go N/A or centrifugal SC.

2uz-fe being made to run with the MKIV Supra?

One thing to note about the 1UZ is that it's got a pretty generous bore spacing. If we could find the right sleeve, we should be able to machine the block to fit them and allow more displacement with a stronger bottom end. I am still thinking about using a sleeve myself. I really think the...

So will you be using the 2JZ starter? And which flywheel?

    1UZFE Block with 2UZFE Heads

I do like the fact that the port is about horizontal... it would eliminate canting the ITB's towards the middle in an NA setup.

    1UZFE Vs 2UZFE Cams

What's with the cam lobe width? Looks like the base circle is tiny.

    1UZFE Block with 2UZFE Heads

Hmmm, I like that! Looks to be a bigger angle, with a straighter shot into the cylinder. How do the port sizes compare between the two heads?

    Oil Jets

Well see that's the problem with the Mistubishi oil squirters. They get stuck open and then the already low pressure at idle gets even lower and starts hurting bearings. Those squirters look pretty nice. A lot better than the Mitsu squirters.

    1UZ in 93-98 Rx 7

Well I really don't care who my car pleases besides myself. And personally, it doesn't matter who made what as long as the car kicks butt.

    Oil Jets

Yeah, I disabled my clutch switch as well, since mine is one of the problem years engines. I think that is a major cause for it, but also as you said, a lot of people with heavy pressure plates got it too. However, the amount of completely unmodified engines which walked, some numerous times...
