Cable is line pressure. Kickdown is controlled by the ECU which would probably get a combination of signals such as TPS and speed

What diameter is the probe?? I just used an olive type fitting (swagelock)on mine and screwed it into the side of the thermostat housing. Just don't over tighten it to damage the probe. Been in the 37 for over 4 years and 70,000 miles and no leaks. Can be easily removed and refitted just like...

Well call me lazy if you like but I hate doing the same thing twice if it can be helped. Do it right the first time and forget about it is the way I like to do things. I would rather drive my cars than fix them:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thanks for the replies fellas. Unfortunately my 37 is a daily so cant wait the time to get them at the moment. Have done the cut & shut for now and will order some connectors and good quality wire and make up a new engine harness then swap it over at a later date. Thanks again for your input.

G'day all, I am in the process of fitting a Spitronics ECU and would prefer to fit new plugs on the loom rather than cut and shut old ones. Anybody know where I can get the injector, temp sensor, crank sensor etc plugs with pins. Thanks

Anyone know what the sump dimensions need to be to fit in a hi lux or a surf. Have been asked if my sumps will fit but never had a look at a lexus powered hi lux or surf. Probably from the trans face to the crossmember and the bottom of the block to the crossmember will do. Thanks

Yes they will hold more oil too so might be ok for completion work. Will measure and see what they actually hold

Well got the first sump from the foundry finally after a few hiccups. Hope to get time in the next week or so to start making fixtures for machining the sumps and trans pans then write the programs and finally machine then polish and ready to go. Also have the old school finned rocker cover...

They can be made any way you like. What do you mean by LS coils. Are you referring to the chev ls1??? If so I have an ls1 here that I can take measurements off.

Yes they will be a total replacement. Bolt directly to block and trans as per stock sump but deeper and drop is more to the rear
