try putting 6 inches of exhaust tube on the exhaust pipe just have a straight piece flared up and put a single tex screw in it to try what is it idling at cold neil

amen to what drifty325i said. the hot air has to escape somewhere to allow cold air in through the the bumper/grille. and boy it looks bodgy.

i have never heard of that sort of bolt used for a flywheel. they are used on just about every sort of head though these days. neil
