thanks for the info, but ive decided to rid my self of anything rover in the drive line :mad: putting an A440F auto and transferr out of an 80 series behind the 1uz turning an GQ front diff and an 80 rear. it's a winch challange truck so i dot want to stuff around fixing rover stuff

chasing a flex plate for a 1uz, oz perferred to keep postage down Cheers

well ive gone with the 2uz > A442F bell housing, ordered it fresh from japan genuine toyota @ $500. i will post up some photos and info when i get it

im looking into the same setup atm, but im staying auto so, would the 1uz auto on a surf transferr box be strong enough for a 2ton rover? second to that would the bell housing off a 2uz bolt up to the a440f Cheers

looking for an easy way out, who has mated a 1uz to a rover 4sp auto (zf), i have the motor and will soon find a rangie with the plan of swapping out the rover junk but hoping someone can shed some light on the adapter Cheers

i had mine running thur the standard 3f snorkel/airbox on the middy for ages(was losing 30 odd hp) but going to the 4" s/s with rubber bends. and it is the air box causing the loss which will be changes as well, i was told to put in a gen3 air box in then make an adaptor to the snorkel and...

i pulled my finger out and move the motor over, so on with the rest of it

no it's pretty much touching, i havnt asked on outers, but i did get this motor from scotty mcgill there. but he had it 3 maybe 4" further forward so thats out, i can remake the engine mounts over a bit more but was trying to avoid that. moving the pump would have been easyier, i'll just stop...

as it says, has anyone relocated the power steering pump? puting a 1uz into a GQ and it's a little too close to the steering box.
