    2UZFE coil wiring loom

I was able to get the harness side coil connectors thru the dealership (with pins). I will check the part numbers and post them when I return home in a day or so...

    Manual gearbox ratios vs performance

It looks like the R154 gears are better spaced, except for the top gear, which will have a bigger drop than your current gbox going into top. That just means lower cruising revs and maybe better mileage at cruise. Also, higher top speed if the engine can pull the gear to peak power in top...

    Fuel Cells

Sniper, A fuel cell is not much more than a fuel tank with a ballistic liner (sometimes the liner is the fuel tank?) and fittings to allow fuel flow into and out of the tank. Foam filled cells use an open celled foam to keep slosh down to a minimum (could do similar job with baffles), but the...

Any interest in Vernier Cam Gears

More cost information as you get further along would be useful for generating interest. Do you have any work started on the CAD work? What models do you have in mind for the cam drives? Any additional info will bring more interest... Thanks, Steve-O

    bellhousing bolt size

The holes for the bellhousing bolts in the back of the block are a 12mm fine thread. I believe they are 1.25 pitch. It is not a common thread pitch for large bolts, so you may have to do a little searching to get what you need. Steve-O

    Nitrogen for your tires?

Anach, Youre right, I didn't do my maths... The sea level values are 78% Nirtogen, 21% Oxygen, and the rest is basically trace levels (Chemistry books do more than hold down the shelves...)

    Nitrogen for your tires?

Just to remind everyone, the air we breathe is 80% nitrogen, 28% oxygen and 2% other stuff... The nitrogen used in tires is basically dry (no moisture), which is the reason for the more constant pressures noted earlier. This leads to LESS pressure variance with temperature than standard air.

"Coil on plug" coils for 1UZFE

v8 IS200 Marcus, I have an ECu that can handle 8 ignition outputs, that how it is controlled in my case. Converting early, twin distributor engines would require at least a 4 ignition output ECU capable of running wasted spark. For what it's worth the coils noted also list as the stock coils...

Parts FS: 1uzfe motor and trans partout!!! alot of misc parts

How much for the heads? Minus cams since they have already been requested, but with all the other valve gear.

    Quartermaster clutch options?

Its not so much the gripping load that is going to be an issue, but the drivability. Most racing clutches are designed to have very short throw and very little modulation. This will make it a little bit of a pain to drive in traffic without stalling frequently. The metallic and carbon clutches...

    Quartermaster clutch options?

I have made a flywheel to take a Tilton 3-plate behind the flex plate. The current plates are metallic which will be a pain for street driving as they dont offer much feel. The direction I am looking into is using a Quarter-Master Organic 2-plate setup inside the Tilton clutch cover. I believe...

    older 1UFZE into special

I have a similar project as well. Space frame chassis similar to original Triumph Spifire chassis, but lengthened and widened. SOme of the original sheetmetal from the Triumph is still being used. Most went the scrap bim as new bit are being made. Should be able to run the car minus the body...

    Water Temperature ?

The ecu will try to adjust for colder engine temperature, but that is not a huge issue. The problem you may run into is a mileage issue, since the ecu is mapped to run more efficiently as the engine temp approaches 90C.

    Load Vs. Unload Tuning

Dyno tuning comes in a few flavors... You can use steady state dynos to get the basic mapping for all sorts of engine parameters sorted out, but to get closer to the "real world" tuning you would need tun ethe transients on a more sophisticated (more money) dyno. That is the main reason that...
