Ready to Spend 4K. Please Help!

I got around to mocking my new bullet intake and lysholm2300 today. The motor has the 97 style rear coolant crossover and it doesn't fit that intake. Did the 92-95 have the same coolant crossovers and 96-97 were different? My other motor which is out of a 95 has a different crossover...

Ready to Spend 4K. Please Help!

Yeah, and that snout cost money. I got a twin screw lysholm in perfect condition for $700. It came with a snout and a bypass valve and a rear inlet. I don't need to take the blower apart and mill it and weld it to the plate and all that jazz. Why put a eaton blower on and paint yourself into...

Ready to Spend 4K. Please Help!

An m112 leaves no room for much in the way of upgrade. Its still roots. Doesnt compress air, and lacks efficiency above 8 psi. Plus its physically large, requires a lot of modification to clear the hood, and comes out to the same cost as a nice KB or Whipple which can put out 15psi+! A...

Ready to Spend 4K. Please Help!

Thats a m62 early style L67. Dont waste your time with a roots blower like an eaton. Go for a twin screw. Especially if you want 400hp. 400hp with an eaton m90? You're dreamin. :)

    Sc400 manual ttc adapter questions

Has anyone used Eric @ TTC's adapter to put a 5 speed (either r154 or w58) behind a 1uz in a sc400? The adapter is 19mm thick... I'm wondering the right combination of gearbox input shaft length, bellhousing, clutch shifter and driveshaft to make it all work. Any advice would be appreciated...

    95 and 97 Engine swap

Both 95 and 97 transmissions say AISIN Model NO. 30-40LE. And to be clear Both engines came from SC400's. I put the 97 sc400 engine and trans into a 95 body.

    95 and 97 Engine swap

Thats what I was asking initially. David said the aux gauges and the dash wouldn't work properly with a 97 engine, harness, ecu, maf on a 95 body. Without changing clusters and dash harness. So I put the 95 upper plenum w/ sensors/fuel rails/TB attached and both engine harnesses over to the 97...

    95 and 97 Engine swap

Incorrect. The 95 harness will not fit the 97 rear coolant crossover tank. It's the wrong shape. Therefore.. You must use the 95 egr tube w/ the 95 crossover tank Also the starter selenoid connector must be used from the 97 harness if you dont' change over the starters. The fuel rails...

    95 and 97 Engine swap

I swapped intakes/fuel rails/egr tubes/rear coolant cross over. Used 95 ecu and wiring harnesses. Works fine.

    95 and 97 Engine swap

Yes OBD1 vs OBD-2 More importantly MPFI vs SFI I want to know if I can use the 97 harness + MAF + ECU in the 95 chassis without issues. Or if I should should switch the fuel rails / from the 95 engine onto the 97 engine and use the 95 harness+MAF+ ECU. Who is your friend? Can you put me...

Throttlebodies are different also, but intakes look the same.

    95 and 97 Engine swap

I've pulled some info on the topic from club lexus. I'm putting a 97 1uzfe into a 95 sc400. Both engines are sitting side by side on roll around carts and I'm doing a comparision and getting a game plan together on how to handle this. I'd like to keep the car obd-1. Due to cali smog law. (...

Standalone ECU Best Standalone for Lextreme's New Project

Megasquirt MS2extra firmware. You can retain the stock dizzys and the MS2 has double the resolution. of MS1. MS1 was limited MS2 is effective and dirt cheap. There are so many options, output controls, you name it. You could run a vvt motor easily and it datalogs. I'd go this route. Plus you...
