I doubt it, Dean sold that truck about 5 years ago and probably hasn't been on here since.

I don't run any o2 sensors on my conversion, stock motor factory ecu. As far as i can tell it runs fine, I think it would be fine in a race application.

i'm interested in this as well, for the same reason. Plus it may be cheaper to do this mod than to replace all the ignition components as my engine is 24 years old and as far as i know it's all original:D

I ordered some custom pistons 2 years 2 months and 3 weeks ago........the correct ones should be here tomorrow :confused:

they're Toyota Corolla suspension arm bushes, sorry can't remember part numbers. I just went through the nolathane parts catalogue until i found something that would work.

Well another 3 years have slipped by and the hilux is nearly finished (are they ever really finished???) seeing as all the old pics seem to have disappeared heres a "finished" one. And one after taking it to our local "MUDFEST". It felt great to drive the old girl after so many years...

mine will be different from yours as mine is a solid axle chassis, but you get the idea.

Hi, 2-uz sumps are rear similar to the sc400 sump. They have a deeper bowl and hold about 7.5 liters of oil. All uz sumps and pickups are interchangeable, Iv'e just fitted a 2-uz sump to my early 1-uz and one of my mates just put one on his VVT-i 1-uz.

Mate of mine started his truck by reaching in the window, didn't know it was in gear. truck drove into the back wall of his garage (brand new house!) put a nice hole in the wall and the laundry door.:)

A lot of other toyota's have the same plugs, I just went to pick a part and found plugs with the right number of pins. Sorry cant remember what car they came out of it was like 5 years ago!!

I just looked back thru this thread and realised how long it was since i updated it ! The truck now has a new hybrid chassis, surf rear end with hilux front end. coil suspension front and rear. hi-pinion front electric locker. front wide axle kit. and it looks kind of like this

It's sitting in my garage gathering dust while i put a new kitchen in my house! It has been up to Performance Metalwork for a nice set of headers and a 3" exhaust but thats about all ive done. Im hopeing to get back into it soon (after the house reno) then i'll post up the progress here.

A mate of mine here in NZ just purchased one of these blowers, It's going on a 1uz in a off road race truck. He will be making his own manifold for it incorporating an intercooler.
