If i was getting a new one machined I would have only 4 teeth on the pulse gear? Would it be the same length tooth (2-3mm from memory) with a long gap, or longer teeth? Speedo sensor will run from transfer, no backup to ECT For tiptronic, do you use the stock shifter with a switch for auto or...

Im getting the adapter made up with the 32pulse sensor fitted I assume this is what the ECT requires, or at least can be adapted

The speed sensor is on the transfer output shaft. It reads speed normally, but I doubt the auto will understand a 4th gear top speed of 50km/h I can have something machined into the adapter, but a plug in item would be simpler

I assume your converter senses when low range is engaged and adjusts the signal based on the (programable?) low range ratio This may well be my solution Could this be used to correct my speedo reading?

I was told today that the ECT does not need a speed imput to function, is this true? From what youve said Peewee, the 32 tooth sensor is needed for the ECT, and i wont need the worm drive as the transfer case speed will be used for the speedo I wont use the abs as i dont have any wheel...

Can I use the abs sensor for the ect? It will be easier to recreate the same pulse rate at the larger diameter required by my adapter

So the spiral geared drive is speedo which means the 32 toothed gear is for ABS

Which of the two speed sensors in a crown auto does what? I plan to adapt the A341E gearbox to a hilux transfer case and want to know which speed sensor is needed for the ECT. For the dash speed I will use the transfer case speed sensor. I assume this will this plug straight in? Speed sensors
