What are you up to?

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
Hez fozee, if you are using a 2lt box it should be ok for up to 250 hp if you dont try to do static burnouts, a good mate of mine has had a 2lt escort motor twin webered cammed ect with about 180 hp in his off road buggy with only a 1600 kombi box and he drives it hard and has no probs for 2 years of thrashing, the 2lt box is the strongest, its also got more strengthining ribs in the casing, sounds like a cool project, would of been a nice conversion for the dual cab kombi I just got rid of, but you cant do everything...

My MK1 1970 Ford Capri is underway. The engine is in, ready to do a test fit fo the auto. The car is in full primer, tubs are cut out, new tubs made, just have to get them welded in. The boot floor is cut out, just have to get new aluminium made to go in. Custom fuel cell designed, just need to get it made. Have a hilux diff shortened and in, just finishing off the new suspension. Being moved in board for the mini tubs. Need to source a new colapsible steering column and have it modified to fit. Have seats ready to go in, pro ratchet shifter needs to be installed. Awaiting new brake cylinder to turn up, so i can start getting that in to do brakes. Front rotors converted to leyland P76, and have to get hq gorlock alloy calliper brackets and VR cappilers to go in.

Thats about it for now. Heaps to do, and no time or money to do it.

Typical car build. hehehe

hi
my project is a 1979 323i bmw (e21), with 1uz, w58, (on custom engine and gearbox mounts) using custom adaptor onto auto bellhousing, hydraulic clutch release bearing setup, MR2 turbo (3sgte) flywheel (modified ring gears and centre), custom 5 puck brass button solid centre clutch, custom (one piece) driveshaft to a Skyline Gts-25t diff (4.3:1, LSD), custom axles, custom hubs to change from 4x100 pattern to 5 series (5x120 pattern), bmw M5 replica wheels (17"x8"), lowered springs, adjustable shocks, 540i disk brakes (13" fronts) and willwood superlite billet 4 pot callipers (fr), toyota callipers at rear (to simplify handbrake system), incabin adjustable (fr-r) willwood pedal box with tilton mastercylinders (no booster setup), all new brake lines (run through car rather than under, and none go through the engine bay), custom made braided brake hoses all round, Skyline radiator, alloy radiator hoses, polished cam covers, modified and polished intake plenum, modified throttle body (cut up to remove traction control stuff), K&N pod filter (directly mounted to throttle body, no MAF sensor needed with Link computer, it uses MAP sensor), removed air con and powersteer pumps and belt, re-mounted alternator and new (much shorter) belt, Bosch motorsport fuel pump under custom fuel and surge tanks, malpassi adjustable fuel pressure regulator, engine bay completely de-loomed (fusebox moved inside cabin, all wires hidden and re-routed around engine bay
other modifications include: big sounds, tints, Recaro reclinable front seats (mitsi gsr spec), stripped out interior of all carpet and sound deadening, replaced by custom treadplate mats, de-bumpered, shaved badges and handles and fuel filler flap, modified rear end, and some other stuff i can't really remember right now.
so far its taken me two years, with only the Link computer and tuning, and exhaust, and a few (lots) of other small things to finish. i hope to run low 12s when done, and do lots of drifting. then maybe some forced induction, or NOS, to see if it'll do tens without the gearbox blowing. Now to find some money....

Do you have a pic of your engine bay. WOuld like to see it very clean and free of wires. I would like to do similar, and need a little inspiration

hi
this is my last photo from december. the engine's out at the moment to have the engine bay sanded and repainted. i will post another photo in a few weeks when the engine is back in, and complete. Also, the oil cap has been replaced by a polished alloy TRD item (minus the TRD sticker that came with it).
thanks

Engine is in and ready to get the ECU fitted.

Have decided on the motec M48, to be fitted and tuned by Jaustech.
Bus is getting towed to the workshop on moday morning.

So when i get it back ill let you all know how it goes.

Still doing the Sierra, that is not much has happened for the last 5 months. That said I have just started on the
twin turbo exhaust manifolds and they will be a pain. Not enough space to get the turbos aligned like I want, so I'm
trying to get it to look ok, not good, but ok.

Still lots of other stuff left to do.

i am putting 95 1uz into a 47 ford jailbar pickup. mitsi l200 chassis, holden commadore indepedent diff.motors in starting on headers (not a lot room).proberly another 3 to 4 years to conpletion

I'm just finished puting a 1uzfe into a 90' Nissan 180sx\240sx. It's equiped with a T70 turbo running 6 psi at the moment. Still some work left, but works very good so far.

Well I have done some work...not much really though. It's a pretty sad situation...but here's what I've done so far to the HZ. As you can see there's no more gutter, the other side is the same. I've also removed the front subframe getting it ready for some sandblasting!!!

still working out whether I want to invest the crazy doe to put the 1UZ + GTR Gearbox in a 3000GT

AWD + Manual Gearbox + Turbo = ???? (Insert gearbox snappage, big bills or other into appropreate position)

1985 Celica Supra MK2, Rev2 UCF20 1UZ, R154 Manual box, CRS Bell Housing, CRS Flywheel, CRS Clutch Kit, Race Cams, Alluminium Pulleys, Throttle Bodies, Rush V8 Soarer Headers, Custom 3" Exhaust system, 100hp Direct Port Wet Nitros, Link ECU with Launch Control and TRC

I got my bus back on Friday and cruised around a little in it.
It has so much power!!!!!! Fastest car i have owned yet.

Motec MLS ecu running engine. With the free flowing system and the easy breathing air intake id say she is making a little more than stock power. Stock power being 191Kw at flywheel. She hasnt been dyno tuned because she is an auto, just tuned on the road.

The Auto trans works a treat. Smooth changes at good RPM levels. The aftermarket Oil cooler helps. Just needs a thermo fan to try and cool the oil a little more. In the hot she tends to stay in gear and not change so well. Mind you she was geting a work out.
Will increase tyre and rim diameter to decrease RPM at highway speeds. Apparently she sits somewhere between 3500 to 4000rpm at 110Kph.

Need to upgrade the radiator thermo fans. Currently running Davies Craig and they just dont seem to be pushing enough air. Any sugestions for a good high volume pushing fans?? The shroud makes a bit of drumming noise when the cross wind hits her, so that needs strenghtening.

The 2.25" stainless system is absolutely fantastic. With out a doubt the best sounding system i have ever heard on a street car. Can hardly hear it when cruising or idling and as soon as you give it heaps, she just seems to open right up! Thats what you get from quality hand crafted extractors, highflow cats and straight through mufflers! Spend the money and get the results!!

Cruise control not working yet.

Getting the rear hatch fabricated. Once that is fitted i will be giving her some real highway road trips to stretch her legs and test out the set up.
Also getting my gauge mounts fabricated so i can tell exactly what is happening with the engine.
Alternator is fingered and needs a rebuild. Fuel gauge is also fingeres, have already replaced the sender unit. Need to upgrade brakes!!!

Where can i store MPGs? Is there a free hosting site like photobucket to put these things on??
I will post some MPG footage so you can hear and see her.

wow 3.5 to 4k at 110kph, that's crazy you need to modify your final drive ratio ASAP, these baby's should be cruising at what...1800 on highway for a 5 spd and probably down at 1400 for a 6spd
