Power steer pumps? All the same?

Are there differences in power steering pumps? IE remote res vs mounted res?

The one weve got has the resevoir mounted on the pump and I want to have a larger bottle mounted to the chassis. Can I either:

A) remove existing resevoir and install lines instead?
B) swap for existing remote res version?

IIRC, the SC400 (Soarer) have a remote resivoir.

I think that you can use the one that you have and get the hose nipple piece from the SC400 that mounts to the pump in the way that the resivoir mounts on yours. I am not 100% sure of this as I have never done it, but I think that it would work fine.

Yes, Soarer has remote reservoir, and does not have an idle up valve on it.

The pump is the same though (except for the valve).

You can put the remote reservoir on a non-remote pump, and vice versa.
