Need help On my New sc400

Bought a sc400 1992 about 2 months ago. I got it from some guy that moved 2 Nj from florida. He said he swapped the motor for newer one but the car idle fine sometime then idle low and shuts off. Now its much colder, I got full tune up, and rebuilt IACV and car dles hight like around 1700rpms in park and in drive it idles around 1100rpm what could be the problem? My water temp light is on but car doesnt overheat. Check engine comes on every once in a while but i dont kno how to pull code. I also realized that my vacuum swith isnt hooked up cause the 2 hose lines are broke off i brought a new one( this is located behind spark plugs where upper radiator hose and engine meet)and i dont kno where hoses run from.

Please help Iam a first time Lexus owner and im used to owning honda's.

Where can i find these articles?

I'm no expert on lexuses (plural lexi?) but I would say get those vacuum hoses hooked up first, then see how it runs. A Haynes, Chilton or better yet an FSM should show you where the hoses run too. Or if you know anyone with a similar car, just pop their hood and take a look. Good luck.
