lexus auto box to tansfer case

hi all thinking of using most of the LS400 i bought and to put in to the surf. i was wondering if the auto box from the lexus marrys up to the transfer case of the surf or do i need to fabricate anything. reading threads i see its best to use the engine and auto box from the lexus if possible so the ECU works properly and just have the surf ECU to run teh 2-4WD but i think my transfer lever is mechanincal as i put the gear box in neutral and push it to L4 so im not sure if a need the surf engine ECU at all?

I believe you need an adapter to go from the transmission to the transfer case. Check out inchworm.com. The prerunner adapter will allow to use the auto transmission and mate it to the transfer case. Hope this helps.

IF YOU ARE HANDY you drop the surf main shaft into the lexus box, and give it a shift kit while you are there, bolt it back together and the transfer case slides on.
