is the ecu for a 97 supra similar to the sc400 ecu
(maybe the same)
im asking because im trying to figure out if the dataport for the obd2 is wired the same way

I would think they're "nearly" the same ECU, but probably have some internal firmware differences that gives each of them their own personality (L6 vs V8), and of course the fuel & ignition mapping would be totally different.

right thats what i found
but i was attempting to wire in the obd2 dataport in so i could pull codes and shoot them down.
i was working from this thread i found over on supraforums

and found it to be very helpful
the only thing i didnt have to do was switch the wire
and i traced it all back to the ecu wiring instead of using the other dataport
im really happy it works cause i was able to pull the codes
i currently have
p0100
p0101
p0758
p1755
p1765
and i looked them up and it said that the first two are for the maf and maf circut
the rest are trans codes
im trying to figure out how to get rid of the trans codes lol
