Can anyone tell me what the differences are (other than exhaust manifold) between the CT26 series turbos??
I know they come off the 7m-gte/3s-gte, etc. but are they the same??

I am looking at two of them, both I believe come off a 3s-gte(MR2) but the turbines look different.

be careful of these if you're not sure where they come from....

ct26's came off many toyota's... mr2, celica gt4 (all trac in the states?), various supra's....

each model had different specs, some had ceramic wheels, some steel.... most were normal single entry, and some were twin entry....

i'd be careful... do a very close examination if you intend to pair them up. might even be a good idea to take them to a turbo specialist.... if you were in syd, id recommend GCG (one of the best) .... but i dont know of any in brizzy

As far as I know, only the MR2, All Trac Celica, and MKIII Supra used the CT-26. The Supra CT-26 is a little bigger than the MR2 turbo. In fact, the MR2 guys use the stock Supra CT-26 for an upgrade. The easy way to tell them apart is the MR2 turbo is a twin scroll entry, the Supra turbo is a single. In the US, I know the Supra turbo is a steel turbine, and I assume the MR2 unit is as well.

ok, ct 26's have been around ages and they're still being used on relatively new models.

2 litre ct26's (3sgte) have the smaller version some with twin entry.... the older ones used ceramic turbines as far as i know (st165 gt4). And even these ones arent all the same... you'll find different specs for each model...

as for the 3 litre supra (7mgte), they are steel turbines and are larger than the mr2 and gt4 versions....

there are even newer ones now on the late model 1jzgte engined cars like the jzx100 chasers using single ct26's.... these are hybrids with trims im not sure about

i think the safest way to use these turbo's in twin setup is if you used two turbo's off the same model engine....

Well, FWIW, the Supra's CT-26 is good till about 14psi. After that its just blowing hot air. Im not sure how the twin scroll and smaller housing affect your turbos. But, that should give you some ballpark numbers.
