350z part swap for SC400/Soarer?

I have been reading of late that some are using trannies from the 350Z's and they are able to hold upto 600whp or so..Auto's too.... I want to know if anyone has heard of the compatability between the two cars and if infact it is true...Apparently, part swapping is doable in some areas between the two....

This link and thread discusses the possibilities...Alot of spice too in some of the posts with HP exaggerations... someone claimed a stock 1uz-fe motor made 900hp or so, I don't think so.....

Any thoughts on this?

I know of a guy adapting a 6 speed 350z box for a 3uz in NZ at the moment - should work well - cheers
