Screw compressors historically are the most efficient, but Eaton have taken the Roots concept a long way and they're almost as good as a screw, and they're cheaper too.

Getting some kind of intercooling is one of the most important things you can do when supercharging.

Kenne Bell are one of the better known names for screw compressor packages. In the past they've used Opcon Autorotor's equipment. As American Locomotive suggested, you should consider intercooling if you plan on boosting at the 10-15 psi level. Many of these companies like Bullet and Kenne Bell sell intercooler setups. If you're looking for a "bolt on" kit for the 1UZ engine, your best bet is Bullet.
