hi all i know my autobox is bust but would like to know which is the best option to go forward.
the problem is there is a rattle / wining noise coming from the autobox there is drive and the noise will increase as accelerate.will only mange to get a mile down the road then it will loose all power. when i turn the engine off and leave it a bit it will still make the same noise but it will drive.
when i was in the recovery truck going home the drive said that i must have overcooked the fluid and it has burnt out a clutch or something.does this sound right?
can this be fixed by a simpleton or does it need an autobox specialist to have a look over it?
