Need to make sure your valve doesnt drop into the cylinder. Alot of people use that yellow nylon rope and stuff it down in thecylinder via the spark plug hole to keep the valve up.

Hate to bump a dead thread, but are these rings good for a 96? If so, do you still have a set? I can't find a reasonably priced set of rings for my 96 SC400 anywhere!

So I noticed that as far as the SC400 goes, there are ring sets for 92-95, 96, 97, and 98-2000. What are the differences between the 92 rings and the 96 rings? Are they interchangeable?

If you are 17, stick with the stock car. Trust me, it won't take you very long to take out a quarter panel. Go buy an old 240SX or something to autocross with, will serve you better (and probably be cheaper to mod)
