Yer, the fluid does return back into the gearbox between the input and oil pump shafts. Im not too sure what the variable pressure achieves, but im assuming it has something to do with the smoothness of the lockup/unlock process.

Umm, have you had a look at the differences between an A34xE & the A350E. From what i understand its the same, Toyota has made a 5th ratio (new 2nd gear), by engaging the Overdrive unit with 1nd gear, to get a lower ratio 1st to use as 2nd gear, and then 3rd, is what 2nd would be in a A34xE type...

Apart from the output shaft, extension houseing & sensors, is the rest from the crown? and i have a slip yoke A340E output shaft now, and extension housing to suit. Is this all i need. Have you got any photos of what modifications were done to your output shaft.

Does anyone know if its possible to use the extension housing and splined output shaft from an A340E (from a mx-83 cressida), in an A341E (probably from a UZS-141 Crown), is it possible to fit in, or am I better off just rebuilding my cress trans, and using that?
