bald (usually) = old (always) = hard = no traction, plus, knowing him, bald = the non tread casing rubber and/or steel belts which is much harder and not at all grippy. bald as in shaved might help though :-)

DIYEFI.org, FreeEMS and the future of TRUE DIY engine management

It's time for another update! New firmware release : 0.0.19 Doxygenated Three weeks ago I released the 19th version of FreeEMS into the wild with the name Doxygenated. This release contained almost no further functionality but, significantly, is fairly completely documented in the source code...

    MK4 Supra, 1UZ tt and T56

The difficulty in easing into it was probably mostly due to the bad wastegate plumbing (just like mine) fixing that rather than the 2psi difference will be what helped the most IMO. If you get a chance you should move those gate feeds to the front of the throttle post intercooler as you are...

Hey man, the desert road just melted, easier said than done ;-) lol. I'm with stupid on that one. Unless you are driving in mid afternoon central JAFA traffic in the middle of summer in a car that is painted black it's a non issue.

"Coil on plug" coils for 1UZFE

Woops, must have missed that. I thought I'd followed this thread pretty well and didn't remember reading any posts about CDI except the last one.

"Coil on plug" coils for 1UZFE

My primary concern would be using COP coils in wasted mode. They aren't designed for that and can/will overheat. As an (ex?)skyline owner you should be well aware of the problems with the OEM coils running in normal COP mode. COP = heat, COP = small "just big enough" coils, COP in wasted =...

Latest update hot off the press : New firmware release : 0.0.18 JackTheRipper The last two releases added real packet based serial communications with extensive error checking and verification. This isn't quite ready for the world as the tuning interface isn't quite finished just yet. It...

Who was the member that already owned the TA XDP card? Now is the time to get involved for some testing with a JimStim and serial cable. Feedback on the GUI and testing of the comms interface and math code and configuration etc will all be useful and some of them can be done right now. On with...

OK, it has been nearly 3 months since I made a code release, but to be fair, I have a few excuses... I had to get one of those things... what are they called? A job! Yes, that's it! Which took up a bit of time to obtain, and more to maintain... Plus, on my third day of work, my hard disk died a...

Dual 2.5 all the way or merging into 3" though right? Or 2.5 all the way? If the latter it's on the small side but will still work OK. Keep up the good work, you need to rub that supra salt into mops bmw wound ;-)

LOL :-) Funnily enough, that is going to be an option for setup etc. VE = number. Period. Fred.

Tuning Table Size VE and Advance POLL inside

Could you please justify that (I'm not disagreeing, just looking for reasoning). Bare in mind the sites are relocatable. Again, can you justify that? And for which engine(s) does that apply, not a Busa engine for example :-) Also consider that we'll be tuning from zero rpm with this table and...

Tuning Table Size VE and Advance POLL inside

Hi, If you have any experience with standalones, or, if you don't but you have some opinion, I'd like to hear it. I'm at the point of deciding on table sizes for the main functions VE (fuel) and Advance (ignintion). Above is a poll, please if you vote, also post a reason with your vote. There...
