    igniters and waste spark coils

" Typically, Inductive type COP coils due to thier smaller transformer size requiers a longer dwell time " Not true, most COP I have tested have a smaller dwell time, around 1.8ms compared to larger non transistorized coils that typically use around 3.0ms.

    Motec M800 on 2uzfe

What type of taco is it? If it is a low trigger type you will need to put a 1000 ohm resistor from the taco input to the same 12volt supply that goes to the ECU.

"When used to trigger Autronic or Motec systems I have a new plate laser cut with 6 outer slots for cylinder sync and the inner has 1 slot for reference." VVT-i Revealed....

The Frequency on the VVT valve is 315Hz approx. The ECU uses the cam sensor as the input position of the cam in a PID loop that controls the valve. Its not that difficult to use or tune. For most installations MoTeC already has startup values for the control of the valves. It is better to...

"Coil on plug" coils for 1UZFE

Kdog, No Lessons needed here, They (MoTeC) must be able to measure the crank position with that accuracy to fire the spark with that accuracy ot they would not state that they could. I agree the crank acceleration is not linear, so lets use your 1uz example, it has 12 teeth on the...
