Q's on cam difference between years on SC's

KC95 - There would be no need to swap out the exhaust cams as they are the same duration; however, the intake cams have 8 degrees more duration. I would think that on a boosted motor this would be quite significant. I do not claim to be an expert on this ... maybe somebody with more experience...

Intake Manifold Idea, I want your oppinion please

Chris - I recently built a plenum and runners out of stainless for my Mustang project. There is no way I would EVER consider doing it again, as it is a giant PITA. Stainless has a tendency to move around a lot when being welded, so everything must be fixtured up or you have no chance of ever...

Gentlemen - First off, let me apologize for being so tardy answering some of your questions. Gloverman: I think those are 48 mm butterflies. They should be plenty big enough to feed a 4 liter engine. My plans are to get the engine running normally aspirated and eventually possibly go to...

striker The thickness of the sides is .095" which should be more than adaquate. If you look inside,(double click for hi-res) you will see that there is also a short legnth of aluminum angle attached to the sides and back. The primary reason for these was to give me more thickness for threaded...

cjsupra90 Go back to the kaneva site. I added a picture of the interior of the box. I cut down the original plentum to make my velocity stacks. This design also allows me to bolt in different size voids (sealed aluminum boxes) to vari plentum volume. Ernie

    Cam Question

I have a 93SC engine and a 95LS engine. I plan to twin turbo one of these for my 71 240Z. Given that the 93 has a lower compression and the 95 has 8 more degrees intake duration, which combination of these would give the best results (driveability) in a low boost 6-8 lbs. situation? I am...

    t400 t700

zuffen thanks for the clarifaction. I am sure that grafting the two converters together will work, but it seems that an adapter ring would be a lot simpler. You would also have the advantage of being able to use the wide range of stalls available. The only downside is that the adapter between...

    t400 t700

Lex, I don't think you or Cowboy understand Nutta's question. The answer is "Yes,you must make an adapter to adapt the flex plate to the torque converter. You also must make an adapter to fit between the crankshaft flange and the nose of the torque converter." I purchased my adapters from...

    F.A.S.T. ECU

Hi, Lex. I have been lurking on this site for some time now and wondered why no one ever mentioned Fast or Accel/DFI systems. These two systems are probably the most common in the United States in drag racing circles. I have never used the Fast system, but have friends who have and they...
