Today I started to tackle the clutch pedal. There isnt really a lot of room in there. So far ive torn out a bunch of stuff and kind of made some room. its not ideal by any means but it should work. I eyeballed the camery clutch pedal setup I have and it looks like it just wont work bolted...

Ok, so some friends and I went to a junk yard a bit ago and I scored a brake and clutch pedal/bracket set out of a 90ish toyota camery. I tackled the brake first. ended up pulling the ls400 brake pedal and bracket mount out entirely and looking over the both of them. they ended up being only...

here's some shots of the abs garbage and whereabouts I may think of relocating it to. only problem I can see with this is that the tube that feeds the pump for the abs unit seems to be gravity fed and by placing it over top of the soon to be coilover it may not prime itself with brake fluid. if...

Cool im glad to hear its possible this way. No chance you have a photo of your pedal setup is there? How well did the sc300 pedals fit? Would I be best scouring for a set of these or would other similar sets be equally as good?

Yes your talking about the JZA80 shifter. It hangs off the back of the transmission. If you find one let me know. It seems that they are super rare to find for sale and when you do find them people are asking stupid money for them. How do you like the 350Z 6speed tranny?

Well like I said before im a little bit of a jerk and I dont think my family will ever have an automatic transmission. Call it a point of taste. Also I have grand plans for this 1uz in the future, but this inital build will get us going and I can make the little v8 couch up some real power...

Cool. Thanks man, these are all the hurdles I thought would be tough but doable. I haven't taken a tape measure to the transmission's yet to see how far the shifter needs to move, there is a guy on e-bay making custom r154 shifter extensions up to 6" I figured if one of his shifter extensions...

Yes he did, but so far nobody has told me what the hard hurdles on the LS400 swap will be. It seems like a bunch of people have started this swap, but maybe everybody gives up at some point? any idea where im going to run into trouble?

With a shift kit there is no clutch and this means no clutch kicking. Shift kit auto's are still auto's at heart. The Rxx swap kit from toyotaV8 has alredy been paid for. I have a supercharger in the basement waiting for the LS but i'll wait till after I get it driving before I get into any air...
