Ya your right I might as well just while it's all apart. Is the only upgrade straight to forged or are the 1uz pistons a bit stronger?

This is true. What about the pistons in the 2uz. Are they strong? Obviously they must be because I've seen them ran on boosted tundras and what not. So from my knowledge the only real weak point in a 2uz(making under or around 400hp) is the toothpick rods, am I right?

1uz heads wont fit on a 2uz. Hey I just ordered cams and they should be here soon I will let you know how they "feel" in the seat. I got stage 2 by the way.:D

Hey guys so I'm thinking of supercharging my 2uz in my 03 tundra for shits and gigs. Of coarse we all know the 2uz has those weak toothpick rods. I'm not trying to make it a track car but definitely wanna be the talk on the street. So here's my plan. I'm thinking of buying 1uz (early gen.) rods...

Can anyone modify a 2uz intake manifold to accept a m112 blower? Ive seen it done on 1uz's, but what about 2uz's?

I just installed my new timing belt and after starting it up there is a lot of knocking coming from the driver side valve cover. Could this be a bent valve or what? I've been having terrible luck with this motor lately 8/.

ya i got it lol, thanks for the help though. Everything lined up except the belt marks which i guess eventually come back around after 10 spins and line back up again, idk weird shit. It runs though now.
