If it's an obvious Chinese knockoff that's just trying to profit by copying a part as cheaply as possible by cutting all possible corners, you'll get what you paid for. Gents, I can't find a consensus on whether this is worth it or not. I see varying opinions on other sites but I'm surprised that there's not more interest in it considering it's a common mod on the 1UZ. If there were an EGR delete kit for the 2UZ, would it sell? 2JZ?

For sure you can delete the EGR.

When you say it makes a whirring sound and you tested the starter and it's good, you mean it's spinning, right? But not engaging. Yeah, gotta be the bendix? Should be an easy fix. I've also had starters that needed to be shimmed over time.

Sounds like a non-issue then!
