Next week the manifold will be put on the flow bench. Does anyone have a spare stock 2UZ manifold that they could lend to be flowed as well?? It would great to have some baseline numbers. Let me know!!!!

Just like the title says, I'm looking for a stock 2UZ manifold to be flow tested in comparison to my custom manifold. It will be tested next week, so its a bit short notice, but if anyone has one laying around, and would be willing to lend it to be flowed, that would great! It would be shipped...

From what I have read on E85, it will corrode your fuel lines, fuel rail, and anything else along the way. The Flex Fuel cars have are fitted with corrosion resistant parts to allow for it. Also, most ECU's can't compensate for the added "fuel" dumped in (more E85 is needed to get the same power...

Just remember someone always has to be the first and until then, no one knows and things just stay theories.

Thanks Pro :veryhappy, true it may not be for everyone (it is a bit out there), but hopefully it will perform as intended! Well, like a lot of things on this forum, it is another "first", just like the Chevy rods or 2JZ valve components. I believe the adjustable cam gears were being sold...

The end will be flanged for a Q45 TB.

Lady luck was not with us today....a hail storm knocked out all the power....couldn't finish the manifold. I hate hail.

This manifold is designed to fit under a lower hood, as most cars these motors are swapped into are smaller and have tighter clearances. The runners are shortened up significantly as it will be pressurized. The 20+" stock runners are more of a hindrance than anything when under boost. The ports...

It should be around 6 liters when done, perhaps a bit more. I'll get an exact capacity once its complete. The entry piece will be replaces with more of a "Y" piece to smooth out flow to each plenum. There will also be a equalizer tube at the rear. We will put up some more pics this weekend, stay...

As promised, here's a few shots of the new 2U manifold: As you can see its a bit shorter than the stock manifold, and the front follows the downward slope of the hood. The two plenums will join smoothly at the center piece out front. We should have it completed within a week or so.

Blow down valves are cheap insurance. I just got one a few weeks ago for $30.

The stock 2UZ manifold is the size of the bathtub. Myself and another are building a much more compact manifold which should fit under most un-modified hoods. Progress photos to come soon.

does anyone have a cad layout for the q45 tb holes, or happen to know them off hand, I thought they were 80mm square? anyone know?

I'll get some side by side shots of the 1uz v 2uz ports in the same pic this weekend. The difference is not as clear when they are seperate pics.

If the coolant bridge is still not low enough, or doesn't look the part, then we will fab up a new bridge and relocate it altogether. Should be an interesting project. We'll have pics of the NEW "top secret" manifold in about a month. And in reply to the LS1 oval TB....It wouldn't be a problem...
