Easy way to increase power and torque at the wheels

Anaema, I have the Supra LSD already installed and running on my SC for like six months now. Just want to know where I stand with the Supra gearing ratio vs. Sc400's are they the same? I guess I can always google search for the answers, because there is no info on this forum...

Easy way to increase power and torque at the wheels

Can any of you experts tell me the differential gearing ratio on a 1993 Supra tt LSD vs. the stock 1992 SC400 open end differential..Is there a difference? I have no idea if the gearing is matching up right on my sc. I have assumed all along it is the same, but after reading this thread it...

Supra TT Big Brake Upgrade for SC400

Guys, I got the plan to solve this problem and it isn't that costly. I don't need to re-sell these rotors on Ebay just yet, even though that is what I should probably do. Even though these rotors will shake, crack, overheat and fail etc... I have reason to believe that with a percisely...

Supra TT Big Brake Upgrade for SC400

Chris V - Recieved and understood....like I said I have heard this before about the rotors but really didn't take it with a grain of salt. I just don't understand why a manufacturer of one of the finest sports car made would install something like the drilled and slotted rotors in the Porsche's...

Supra TT Big Brake Upgrade for SC400

Steve, looking it over closely I David is very right.... I am hoping our adapter/wheel spacer place in Canoga Park should be able to help me out with this situation. I need the 5/16 spacer anyway to perfectly clear the caliper. So after changing out my Y pipes tomarrow I will head over to...

Full dual vs Y and X setups

Doey - I will chose to Supercharge and not Turbo in the future that is already predetermined for me regardless, and maybe not with this SC400 we will have to see.. Interesting on your thinking... Maybe if JBrady is listening in maybe he can mention what he thinks of your exhaust idea... I am...

Making the car faster with out hp gains?

That is incouraging news!!! Any draw backs with the new fly other then the heavy price and labor involved? So power gains will be noticed that is all I needed to hear...thanks...Anyone in an sc400 or Soarer try this yet? Any testimonies? To many questions sorry I am like a spung right now just...

Full dual vs Y and X setups

:wtf: Pro240 - I have no idea, not a turbo guy? Wow nice David, it was my understanding that you need to keep the X in place? How did you get around that with out causing problems? You are turbo'd though I almostforgot....I also lost noticeable low end torque when I changed out only the stock...

Making the car faster with out hp gains?

Thanks for the info pro240. Since this thread is gearing towards weight reduction, let's talk about this light weight aluminum flywheel that weighs half as much as stock? Couple of questions: 1) Are these lighter weight flywheels made to last, or do they wear out fast? Teeth breaking off...

Full dual vs Y and X setups

Doey, first of all I would really like to say that is super nice what you did with your exhaust system. It is really a complete setup... I am looking to change out my Y pipes tomarrow at a local high performance muffler shop from the stock ones. I am hearing the Y pipes will make a noticeable...

    Wide wheels on SC400

Wow your rim has a crazy offset. I also have 10.5 on 18"s on my sc400 but it is a perfect fit with the help of a 3/16" wheel spacer I needed to use...on 235/35/18's. If you are sticking out an inch with out any spacer or wheel adaptors you are pretty much screwed, unless you work the body over...

Making the car faster with out hp gains?

CD stacker weighs 25 pounds I don't think so..maybe 10 pounds tops something is a miss here if 1 LB is 2.2 KG's.

Making the car faster with out hp gains?

Thanks Damien - I just need to figure out how to convert KG's to pounds. I went google and came up with short numbers. The driver seat weighs 120 pounds and the passenger 85 pounds from the earlier post and you say they weigh 30/35KG's so these numbers don't match up when converting. Let's...

    LS7 or Viper V10

What about using the larger or multiple fuel injectors, larger fuel feed pump, etc.. to reach the higher HP's with the smaller A.F.I. engine? Wouldn't that use a ton of fuel even though it is a smaller engine? I realise a non turbo'd for example big engine with out all the fuel pushing stuff...

Supra TT Big Brake Upgrade for SC400

There is a tiny bit of play at the center hub with my Supra rotors and I think Lex is right. It's a much tighter fit with my other stock sized rotors and they don't vibrate... I have a plan and I will let you guys know how it goes in a couple of days.:Thinkingo

Supra TT Big Brake Upgrade for SC400

ChrisV - I have heard that crossdrilling statement before. I bought this Supra brake crap about 8 months ago, and just finally got around to installing it now. I have been procrastinating all along because I knew I would have to face some trouble spacing out the rims to clear the calipers.. So...
