I really doubt the rods are that stressed even with another 100HP. We are talking about 37.5HP per rod on stock HP, and 50HP per rod on a 400HP engine.

Yeah makes me wonder how much of a restriction they are. We decompressed the heads at the same time in the chamber, so there were more gains to be had there.

Just as a comparison, my mate tickled my heads up with the stock valves, flowed 160 and 260.

Interesting choice or trans, you would think W or R would make more sense. I wonder more about the ECU, no doubt they only get more integrated with more modern cars.

Just an FYI, I dont use the idle control valve on the front. Never have any issues with idle. Runs mint from start up. I dont run the cold start injector either.

Look its not a debate, the unit has the recommended distance from the bearing face to the fingers, and twice in a year I have had to remove shims to increase clearance. So if we can go back on topic about a fork and slave option that would be great.

Yeah you do. The fingers release when the plates wear for example moving the fingers closer to the bearing.

Umm the QM doesnt use a slave, its built into the release bearing. I to be able to adjust the freeplay without removing the box.

Ok so I have a QM hydraulic release bearing and basically want to convert it to a standard clutch fork with slave cylinder etc. Any ideas which push system works well with the R154? I realise there will be some custom work, just looking for a starting point.

Yeah I got the old TA45S HKS turbo, got one second hand for USD400. I guess you dont really need the new technology ball bearing turbos to make the power, you just need a big ass turbo, a journal bearing old truck turbo like the TA45S means cheap to rebuild, and it still made 500WHP on 16psi on...

I would that thought the T04Z would have been on the small side for the 4.0. T51R would be my frame of choice. Basically what I have now but an HKS/Garrett hybrid.
