i will have to look in to the bmw gearbox option a little bit deeper, it may be a better option, having said that, the price of the kits over here is way over £1000, i would have to make my own adapters

stage one is complete, i got a mazda rx8 gearbox from ebay for £80 delivered, next up is a flywheel.

im guessing that the answer to my original question is no, i think i will give it a try and see what happens, i will let you all know how i get on but its not going to happen for a while

there are lots of bmw gearboxes over here but the good ones are very expensive. e36 m3 boxes are around 800 to 1000 pounds

i have never heard of an ar5 trans, what vehicles are they fitted in? i just did a quick ebay search and got no results, its probably not something i would be able to find in the uk, i will look in to it though,thanks.

i was watching a w58 on ebay this week, it finished up at £675 plus postage, way too much for what it is. a cosworth t5 just ended at £1000, i must be looking in the wrong places, where did you find yours? i just had a look through your tr7 pictures, it looks like its going to be a beast...

pajman, the r154 gearbox would cost around £1000 to £1200 for a used one,i have only ever seen two for sale, the w58 is cheaper but once again they are a bit rare, the mazda gearbox cost around £150 and there are loads of them for sale, i am guessing that it is because the engines fail on rx8's...

i was looking at the spitronics web page, i can not believe how cheap these units are, i have still got to do a fair amount of fabrication to get the engine in to my rx7 but i think when the time comes i will be having a spitronics set up for the engine and gearbox, what are the like to wire in?

i think i would be tempted to leave the bridge in place and link the heater pipes together, that way it would have flow that would take any air with it, a "u" shaped pipe would do the job.
