    What are you up to?

My MK1 1970 Ford Capri is underway. The engine is in, ready to do a test fit fo the auto. The car is in full primer, tubs are cut out, new tubs made, just have to get them welded in. The boot floor is cut out, just have to get new aluminium made to go in. Custom fuel cell designed, just need to...

    List of all the bits

This would be the ideal way to set it up, the problem with it is the following. Too many cars to list. You could not list them all, otherwise it would take 15 mins for a drop down box to appear, and then everytime some-one did something different, you would have to re-modify your script to...

    List of all the bits

I'll have a look at that. The only radio selections you could have would be sump postion though, as everything else is pretty much custom. I will have a look at the html option though, and see if Lex can put it in as a sticky or similar.

    List of all the bits

This could be a start. I have not covered things like how engine mounts are made, but could post pics with the spread sheet. Also have not quite gone into the detail as above in regards to which igniters or cats etc are used, as this will vary from engine to engine, and in most cases the type on...

    PWR Intercoolers

another idea. I dont know what the configuration of your engine bay is, but i will assume that you have a battery in 1 front corner of your bay, and the other corner has the air box. Put the battery in the boot, thro your air box in the bin, and put a pair of these in their places. They are an...

Yes it is possible. http://www.lextreme.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2666 Hope you got heaps of money. So far i have spent over $10K just to get to the point in that photo. No ecu, no trans installed, diff not finished, and didn;t pay for any of the body work, this is just for the conversion...

    Maximum Compression On A 1uz-fe

there is a company in qld, will have to try and track them down again, but they are mixing the BP 98 ron fuel with nulon pro strength, in the exact ratio as indicated on the back of the bottle, and are successfuly tuning around 12.5:1 comp ratio with this. I will try and found out again. They...

    PWR Intercoolers

Just getting back to your question, you would want to make sure you are not impeding air flow out of your radiator. I think the overall length of the 4x6's are about 10 inches. Thats then 8 x 10 all up, thats 40 square inches. This could cause a block thru the radiator, and cause the hot air to...

OK, how big a mistake was this???

No broken heart here, i am not a big fan of centrifugal superchargers. If your gunna use a blower, it has to be twin screw, and mounted on top. I just wanted to let you know that i didn't think that you had made a mistake. Good luck with the TT project. Blown

OK, how big a mistake was this???

YZFR1, here is a pic that shows what i am sort of talking about. Althoug it is a dirty old buick V6, you get the idea. As you can see, the supercharger bracket has been spaced away from the usual bolting position, an aditional pulley has been attached to the harmonic balancer, and he is running...

OK, how big a mistake was this???

gaskets - $260 from this website fuel pump - About $200 Injectors - about $400 i think Charger - $1000 for 2nd hand. Thats $1860, for minimum prices. May not be a complete kit, but when you add up components, not a bad deal. Be a bit creative, and you will have the system installed for not...

    1UZ-FE Build. Comments Please

So it would appear that i have to go n/a on my build. Could fit twin turbo, or top mount blower, but no room for cooling in either form. SO..... 1UZ-FE Std bottom end with forged pistons, and ARP rod bolts. Rods and crank to be criogenically treated. Ported heads of some description. 11.0:1...

Car of Choice for 1UZFE Swap

i am currently doing a MK1 ford carpi. Very small, very light, but not too tight in the engine bay or driver compartment. 65 XP falcon would be a good choice too. Full size car, but almost as light as a capri. Massive amount of room in engine bay, and available in 2 or 4 door variants.

Twin Turbo 1UZ, but which Ones???

Problem with evo turbos ( evo 7 or 8 ) is they spin in the opposite direction, and i dont think any companies to hi-flow versions for them, or do repairs, so if you blow a turbo, you have to buy another. I like the T3 idea from rb25 as they are extremely common, and there is a lot of upgrade...

I would have to agree with poid, vacuum is in inch/mg. Have a look at your boost guage, it should have it written on it, similar to this one.

    1UZ into MK1 Ford Capri

Thats the exact same thought i had as soon as i rolled the engine crane away. From my measurements i think i can fit a pair of T3's from rb25. Just have to find a way to fit water - air cooler somewhere.

Twin Turbo 1UZ, but which Ones???

A lot of people are talking about twin turbo 1uz's, i am one of them, but what turbos are people using. I know it all depends on use of car, how much lag is too much, how much power you want to make, ............ but what are people on here using. I was planning to use the T3 roller bearing...
