Where are TE1 and E1 located in the car?

Will 97 - 2000 sc400 bumpers match up to my 1993 SC400? I want to update the look of the car and I didn't know if the bumpers were interchangable or if I have to modify anything to do so.

Do They make a reader that can read codes from my 1992 Sc400>? Or do I need to take it to the dealer to have it done? My check engine light started coming on and off for a couple of days and now it is on all the time. Any advice?

It's the ground Cables from the negative side of the battery. My 1993 Sc400 would do the same thing. This is now a well known problem. You can either replace your ground cables or clean them with a wire brush or a dremmel tool. make sure you get the one on the motor as well.

I checked all my fuses because my radio was not working properly in the first place. So when I pulled the radio fuse from under the hood it fixed the problem. So If your sc is still having problems like mine was I would check all fuses because it is a short circuit not an alternator problem.

This was really getting on my nerves so I went out and checked all my fuses and when I removed the radio fuse under the hood it fixed the problem. So I'm guessing that there is a short somewhere within my audio system.

did tightening the ground help it for a while? Maybe it needs a new ground wire? I'm not too sure it's pretty bizarre.

Same Problem I have a 1993 lexus sc400 and my car is doing the exact same thing as you described yours of doing. So it was just the ground on the battery? I thouight it was the alternator or something but I wasn't sure.
