I have just got my Bmw E36 up and running and have used a commodore v6 pressure plate,they come as 1800lb and 2300lb clamp with 10"plate with kevlar woven lining and a howe hydraulic race bearing.it works perfectly feels just like any standard clutch. http://lextreme.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9528

just use loctite it will seal fine

this hydraulic setup is shimmed from behind.if is the way to go in tight setups where you cant run a conventional setup with a fork.You just need to make sure you buy a good quality unit. Kelvin i agree initail setup is the key,i'm doing mine out of the car before it goes back in

what you are trying to remove is the oil pump.if it is cracked you will need a new one.as previous post says you will need to remove sump and pickup

rule of thumb if you replace distributor caps you do the rotors at the same time.worn rotors has an effect on how your ignition system works

Have started to fabricate a pickup from scratch as there dont seem to be any std ones around to modify.soarer oil filter housing would be good but sits above the sway bar so have gone to remote setup.is it okay to send back Kelvin.

thanks for comment on gearbox cross member,i dont think it will cause a problem made out of 60mmx6mm but may revise that decision at a later date
