I have not had any issues when i did mine, works perfectly as a manual and mine is a late model 1uz ls400.

As you have the original loom and ecu just use that,they are not hard to wire and the info you need is on this site.the $1200 will get you a g4 but you still have to pay for dyno time to tune it.

you need to flip the ring gear if you use the mr2 ring gear so the lead in is correct for the starter.thats what everyone does here if they use the 3sgte flywheel.

No problem with using A1 turbo flywheel and the ring gear off the 1uz flexplate.You cant get a ring gear separate as all 1uz were auto unless someone will make one. I used the original ring gear on my custom flywheel for my conversion,you just have to grind off the welds with care then heat up...

use the howe hydraulic bearing that jake suggests,it works well i have one in my e36 conversion

my personal opinion is the 3sgte flywheel is used as its the cheap option,its not big enough to put a decent clutch on if you are making reasonable power whether by na,supercharging or turbo and as its cast no where as strong as a billet flywheel. You should be looking at a custom made 10inch...

If i was to track i would want to run a diff ratio around 3.5-3.7 dependant on the track

Howe unit is the way to go.very nice unit works very well with 3/4" bore clutch master.Used this unit in my bmw with 1uz conversion. nice job on the adapter plate

If its a belt problem just replace and do idlers,tensioner and waterpump as well.pretty easy to do on one of these just follow the articles on this site which have step by step procedure with pictures.you can buy a complete kit from kelvin at cartune company in Hamilton,he is gloverman on this site
