    Dual Throttle Plate 1UZ TB

That was my guess. Very interesting. But If I was doing a motor swap I wouldn't want that extra plate.

    Dual Throttle Plate 1UZ TB

Whats the deal with them and what is the difference between them and the single plate version? Also, what cars/models/year are the single and dual plates supposed to appear on? Is one better than the other? Thanks

Tricking the ECU with 5 Speed Tranny

Not really, I just dont want my friends at the dealership to get in trouble. But at the bottom line I got a low mile used AY6 and theyre good for about 400 ft-lbs. Not sure how they like to be spun at high RPMs. I dont know much about it other than its a new design and its all aluminum. weighs...

Tricking the ECU with 5 Speed Tranny

Kyle, It's a spare I got from a warantee replacement. We found out later that the shifting problems it was causing was not from a defective transmission but from using GL-5 lube instead of the preferred GL-4. It works fine but I have no use for it at this time, I wonder if it would be suitable...

Tricking the ECU with 5 Speed Tranny

I am starting to think more and more about just running an aftermarket ECU. That said, I can put better power down if I'm not trying to keep it "legal." I might end up using a spare Aisin AY6 6-speed from a Tacoma that I have lying around if no one wants to buy it from me here...

Tricking the ECU with 5 Speed Tranny

I am doing research now. What would you, as a professional, suggest I should do? I have someone who can physically put the motor in the car properly, but wiring it up to work with the w58 is questionable.

Tricking the ECU with 5 Speed Tranny

I'm trying to get my w58 to work on the ls400 motor and I want to use the gs400 ecu so I don't get any trouble for it. So my plan is to get an ls400 and take anything I need out of it and use the gs400 ecu with the ls400 wiring for ease of install. Only big problem for me is finding a gs400 ecu...

Tricking the ECU with 5 Speed Tranny

I dont care how long it takes I just want a 100% guarantee that its going to work out for me. I just dont want headaches. I can get the front half of an LS400 easily but finding a gs400 ecu that will work is not as easy. Anybody know an easy place to find these? Do the 1uzs from each car have to...

Tricking the ECU with 5 Speed Tranny

Sorry, Im over here in the states and we have the GS400 and I thought that was the Crown counterpart. Anyhow, the engine would be from a LS400, I desire the front sump. Thank you very much for the info. I wish there were more knowledgeable people here in my area that could help me out with the...

Tricking the ECU with 5 Speed Tranny

Has anybody in the last 2 years that this thread has been dead for tried to use a GS400/Crown ECU with a LS400 loom? Or is there simply no way? Im trying to get a W58 to work with a pre-95 LS400 motor that I would try to swap into a 83 Celica.

    Progress on 1UZFE > RA65 swap

I really admire what you have done. I really look forward to seeing the final product. I am going to try my best to get the W58 to work here. I plan on changing out the rear end anyway. Not sure if the GT-S is a two-piece driveshaft stock. GT is. Anyhow, hopefully the driveshaft will be the...
