    Choice of Engine for FI

2 uzfe has a longer stroke than the 1-3 uz do. As Cowboy Bebop says, you will need to mix and match pistons to go with the heads if you change cranks.

    Ls460 (2007)

Don't know yet Not sure what the pricing is yet. 06 is around $62K so I wouldn't expect the 07 to go much higher than $70K.

    2uz-fe info?

I can only address the aftermarket support (or lack thereof) for the engine itself as I own a Tundra as opposed to a Forerunner. What I have found for the engine is as follows: Headers (short and long) Some cat-back exhaust Some complete exhaust TRD SuperCharger system Centrifical Supercharger...

    Early Santa Gifts

Santa Got Here!!!! Santa brought my Ross 2uzfe pistons (set up to use 2uzfe heads as opposed to David using 1uzfe heads). They are works of art! Notice the difference in mine and David's are the number of valve reliefs and the compression height to make up for the difference in the chambers...

Drooling! David, They sure look awesome....am awaiting Santa for mine although I know he will be a little tardy....Rudolph ain't what he used to be. Looks like I won't have a problem with whatever I throw at those pieces of art, eh? Can you say "1000 hp Tundra?" :veryhappy :veryhappy...

    3uzfe Pistons failure

3uzfe/2uzfe rods/pistons are definitely shaky Knowing what I now know from my experiences with TRD supercharger and nitrous on a 2uzfe, I can tell you the pistons and rods in either one of them are not up to the task of coping with very much cylinder pressure for a prolonged period and that is...

What would you do if you see this car behind your rear view mirror?

TundraEddie, Smiley Face is just that....a smile 'cause I can use all the help I can get and the wrenches will probably fit...your hands to help out.... The dots you see are aluminum pop rivets....there are washers on the back to hold the mesh. I was originally going epoxy but got into too...

What would you do if you see this car behind your rear view mirror?

Answer to Cowboy Bebop, Pistons are one-off 3.710 custom made by Ross....Rings are Total Seal 3.720 stainless top, ductile iron second and standard tension oil rings cut by Total Seal down to 3.710 and matching pins are made to fit .927 piston and rod small end. Pistons are especially made to...

What would you do if you see this car behind your rear view mirror?

Superb thoughts, my friend. I wasn't thinking of the oil going to the turbo....you are a brilliant tactician!!! I will do exactly what you say.....leave the turbo and oil feed lines, oil pump etc. uninstalled until I break it in. Of course, I will be running mine with the S/C as opposed to...

What would you do if you see this car behind your rear view mirror?

Couldn't have said it better, David Sorry about that, my brain wasn't fully functional as I was planning this thing. Got to thinking about the turbo lag being exacerbated by the length of the piping and was going to set the Nitrous up to assist with spooling. Had the answer in my hand and...
