    M112 Manifold Mod 2

2uz You would have to confirm the 2UZ manifold will bolt to a 1UZ otherwise it will warp beyond use during the welding.

    M112 Manifold Mod 2

2 UZ Manifold I use a 1UZ as the welding jig. As I undertand it the main difference to the 2UZ is its iron block so there should be no reason it wouldn't work.

    m112 pulleysize ??

Pulley I use a 3.3" 6 rib pulley on my daily driver. It boosts typically to 6 psi and will hit 8 psi if you let it build. The stock fuel pump works fine and the stock ecu handles 315cc injectors (78% duty cycle max) and boost well. Stock ecu is a little dopey at light throttle and low boost...

Shocks were out for the suspension upgrade.

    M112 Manifold Mod 2

SC Kit By suspension you mean the torque flex caused by the extra power and torque from the supercharger? We have installed a complete polyurethane bushing set (with grease nipples) which is under evaluation. Preliminary results are excellent - really tight and road feel is not too harsh...

    M112 Manifold Mod 2

M112 Supercharger Kit I have built supercharger manifold kits for others, the challenge is that it is all custom fabrication. I need the stock lower intake manifold, the front water bridge and the fuel rails to modify and make the kit. It's significanlty cheaper than the Richwood manifold but...

    M112 Manifold Mod 2

Boost It will build up to around 8 psi on the 3.3" pulley but typically hitting 5 to 6 psi. No belt wear issues, it's a daily driver but I haven't put a whole bunch of miles on it yet.

    M112 Manifold Mod 2

Throttle Body Manifold The throttle body manifold was made from 3” id thick wall round tubing. My first manifold blended the M112 throttle body manifold with the tubing to accept the Lexus throttle body. Subsequent manifolds were made from new materials, I have used the M112 throttle body...

    M112 Manifold Mod 2

Cold Start The cold start injector fits nicely in the EGT port of the M112 (first picture). You can use the original fuel supply hose by cutting off some of the alignment tabs on the hose. It seems to run rich on start so the cold start is probably supplying too much fuel in conjunction with...

    M112 Manifold Mod 2

Water Bridge The water bridge was modified this time and didn’t require a full remanufacture. Essentially the back is cut out and lowered by about ¾” to allow the SC to move forward. The thermostats neck no longer needs to be modified. First picture shows the fabrication, the second shows a...

    M112 Manifold Mod 2

Manifold It’s hard to tell from this first picture but the injectors lean out by about 5 degrees on the original build. The solution was to offset the M112 slightly to the right (about ½” shown in second picture) and to shorten the mounting tabs on the fuel rails. The third picture shows the...

    M112 Manifold Mod 2

I thought I’d start a new thread as I have made some improvements to the M112 manifold and install with the second build. Vehicle is a 93 SC which has the cold start injector. Please refer to the original thread under Forced Injection Projects, M112 sc400 to get up to speed. There were two...

    Got it off ebay cheap, LS 430 I think. Any of the following works: LEXUS GS430 01-05 (3.266 ratio) LEXUS SC SERIES 98-00 8 cyl (3.266 ratio) LEXUS LS430 01-02 (3.266 ratio) LEXUS SC430 02-05 (3.266 ratio) LEXUS GS400 98-00 (3.266 ratio) LEXUS LS430 03 (3.266 ratio), thru 4/03 Can't...

    SC400 manual conversion aftermath

ECT Light I simply pulled all of the uncessary bulbs for the auto transmission from the instrument panel. I ended up painting over the transmission see through squares on the instrument face with flat black paint. You are hard pressed to tell that it was done through the smoked glass.

Stock ECU I'm running the stock ecu. At low boost, less than full throttle you can tell it has more in it and could benefit from a tune. At WOT it goes like stink and the ECU has no issues. Again, I'm sure there is more there but it has plenty of oomph for a daily drive. I noted the cold...

    SC400 manual conversion aftermath

Ecu One more thought. After we did our first conversion we had no ignition (with a code). Chased wires for hours, it turned out the ECU didn't like the way the main bundle was hooked up. We disconnected and re-connected the ECU then all was fine.

    SC400 manual conversion aftermath

Iac The IAC should stay in the position that gives it best idle when warm, maybe yours is closing off? You could manually open the throttle with the adjusting screw to give it some air while your trying to figure it all out. TPS is set correctly - yes? My engine infrequently decides to shut...

I couldn't measure the runners accurately, looks to be 1 3/4". Chase is on line here somewhere he can provide the right number. The M112 is oversize for the engine, I think it produces more boost than the engine can use. Although I haven't done a lot of high rpm testing as I didn't have the...

mechanic says its IAC, I don't believe him

Iac The ECU is way too responsive with adjusting the rpm to be a simple vaccum leak, it is adding fuel as it senses a lean fuel mixture or erroneously stepping up rpm to what it thinks is idle. You told us the IAC is wired fine but is it working fine? It will step the idle during the cold...

Drivability and Issues The drivability with the supercharger is excellent. You wouldn’t even know it was there unless you put your foot into it, then you definitely know it is there. The cold start fuel map is challenged probably by the larger injectors. The ’95 does not have a cold start...
