I just went out and checked those wires. What I found was I had the E1 wire earthed to the left hand cylinder head. Corrected it an now the light works perfectly. Who knows how much pain and time you just saved me. Cheers.

Don't have a diagnostics port. I will link TE1 and E1 tomorrow and see what happens.

Hey guys, A little confused here. Putting a 1uz into a Hilux and I had set up check light W wire to a globe and the other side of the globe to 12v power. Nothing happens. So I disconnected 12v power and earthed the wire instead and the light comes on. Is this okay?
