Spf, what size is the special shell press that your local machine shop made? Can you share the specs so I can make one also? I'm going to change the bushings on my SC400 race car this winter, along with doing a few extras as spares.

I think they would have worked had it not been for the big brakes. Its looking like the stock mustang 17x8 is around a 30mm offset. Which I think is less then the LS400. Club Lexus has a big post about wheel combos that fit and what they require...

How tough was it to get to the steering rack to swap out the mounts? I may order the Delrin ones from Battle. Also, XR8TT, its for a race car, so its not like we're idling at stop lights. I like the strap idea though.

Very much so! I swear I asked for engine pointers right away and half the recommendations were to swap a 2JZ and turbo.

Is there any history of these being weak on the SC400/Supra? They look kind of small, and I'd like to add adjustability. I'm wondering if anybody has made any themselves or if there is a good set to buy? I'll probably make some, but wanted to do some comparison first. Thanks.

Did you do any sway bar work? Like custom adjustable endlinks or anything?

Its great to find some good tech help finally. I originally found club lexus, but they seem more interested in hella flush and 20's. And other advice was more aftermarket part based, there seems to be more DIY here.

What about the catalysts? Do you gain anything (on a stock 1UZ) by removing the catalysts? Its for a racing application, but we can't really up power output any. Not having researched this last year when I built our racecar, I went the route of cutting the stock exhaust after the first Y...

I appreciate the help, I'll see if I can ask JBrady some more questions. As an engineer, I tend to ask a lot of questions, and seeing data helps. If there's dyno charts of with and without cats, it'd be cool to see.

I'm confused on the reversion thing with the cat, and how the cat acts as like a one way valve in that regard. It seems like the cat itself should cause the reversion wave? Not let the energy wave through, then stop the reversion wave caused later down the pipeline?

Does it take the newer TC or a hybrid one?

Any other updates on this? Did Lextreme ever end up making and selling any poly mounts? I tore a driver side mount on the chumpcar racing SC400 I have. I'm debating just welding up my own solid mount, but don't know the angle between the studs.
