Thanks everyone for their input, you have convinced me to have a go at it myself. The engine is out of a crown so hopefully will be reasonably straight forward. After posting my question i found the article on wiring the crown motor on this site, very helpful. cheers Dave.

Hi everyone, I am in the process of doing the 1UZ conversion into a 1993 hilux. Can anyone recommend someone in melbourne to wire up the car with either the standard loom or an aftermarket standalone computer such as the wolf v500 or motec? Thanks, Dave
