Hi! Before you go to all the trouble of changing the FPR, just hook up a temporary gauge and check the actual fuel pressure. All FPRs do make some kind of sound and yours may be normal.

The JDM engine does have a crank sensor. Not sure of the smog laws but why not leave all the emission stuff off? It runs better without. If you have to fit it then everything should be transferable from your old engine. :o

Quaife also make a good product. I’ve used it with great success in rally cars. I see they have a new 6 speed sequential unit able to take about 750 hp. (http://quaife.co.uk/quaife-catalogue). If they don’t have an adaptor plate they will be willing to make one. At a price of course. :rolleyes:

I've also used Ali Bright with great results. Rinse off with lots of water to prevent further corrosion. The blots etc. can be re-plated or newly plated if not previously done. Just don't plate any high stress items like flywheel bolts. :eek:

Hi there Gertbuilt I am in the process of DIY building a MS 3 to fit onto a 3uz. I’m not as far as connecting to the engine yet. Apparently the setting up of the sensors is a bit finicky. Join the MS 2 forum and post your problems there. The guys are very knowledgeable and helpful. :)
