The starter wire on my crown motor is black, slightly heavier gauge than the sensor wires and has the year of manafacture printed on it hope that helps mark

did some measuring of a mates 454 big block chev last night, my 1uz-fe is wider and longer (not including the massive water pump the chev has sticking out the front).

My truck is going to be on display at the nz 4 wheel drive show in clevdon (Auckland) next weekend, 3rd april. If any one wants to see it come along.

Ive had this hilux for about 8 and a half years. Its under going a full rebuild and 1uz swap ,Im doing most of the work myself except wiring and the exhaust.

toyota made hi-ace ambulances with factory fited 1uz-fe so i dont see why it wouldnt fit in an older model . theres a guy in auckland with one and my fabricator has a ambulance motor going in his project. the ambulance motor has 2 acceasory drive belts perfect for the supercharger he is installing!

here's a pic of my modified mid sump. has a notch to clear the front diff in my hilux. Pick up has also been modified along with added capacity on the front of the sump.it was made by a local fabricator. mark

Lambo I was in Dodsons auto parts in glenfield about 3 months ago they had an aristo 1uz in stock. The front diff was integral with the sump; give them a call or go and see them they may still have it. Mark

Hi to all, just joined the forum so this is my first post. Rod I have a mate here in Auckland running 1uz in a swb prado (japanese version of bundera) fits nicely and is mated to the standard r151 5 speed box.
