Jules, you wont have a problem using Jono's gear!
I've used his conversion kit in my hilux and have several mates using his gear to.
If you get a chance check out his 2 4X4's one with a supercharged 1uz the other a turboed vvti 1uz !
Dean have you got the codes sorted yet? My ecu is just sitting in the garage, if you need it give me a call over the weekend.
We're taking Jono's supercharged 1uz to the dyno tomorrow (friday)to get tuned I'll let you know how it goes!

Have you tried spacing the bonnet up from the hinges?
lets some of the hot air out and cost's bugger all to do!
On a side note what sort of air box are you useing? looks perfect for the hilux engine bay.

i'm in the middle of a 1uz-fe conversion on my 1991 short wheelbase hilux.
Alot of my mates are already useing these motors in off-road vehicles (hilux and landcruisers) and i can tell you they go VERY well!

Due to the very low grade of fuel we get in NZ cats dont last very long, stuffed cats don't help anyone and seeing as they are not mandatory there is no incentive to replace them. I don't know if you can even buy new cats in NZ? anyone know?
I've had my blue top for about 4 years now. It sits for weeks on end and never goes flat, also runs my lights, stereo, winch with the engine not running and dosent go flat.
It's only the first dent that hurts!. After that it's OH WELL it's used now!
This truck was a minta when i bought it ,after 9 years of 4 wheeling it was a wreck so in 9 years i'll rebuild it again!.

Trucked my cab to a mates paint shop last weekend.
Went back today and must say VERY happy with the result!.
Cant wait to get it home and start puting it back together.
The bolts on my standard 1uz auto bellhousing are,
M12x1.25 50 mm long (6)
M10x1.25 40 mm long (4)

just remembered you may need longer bolts for the engine stand. I used 4 M12x1.25x70 mm on mine as the factory bolts were to short.
