    1UZ into E36

Slowly. I get to work on the car about one day a month. Not sure about the VVTi swap but I know there isn't much room to play on the driver's side thanks to the steering shaft. You will probably have the same issues as me with the sump, unless you have a custom sump made. I have made some...

    1uz dumping fuel from headers

I'd recommend you change the engine oil too - if the injector has been hosing fuel in, its likely a decent amount has gotten past the rings and into the sump. Petrol is not a good lubricant.

Standalone ECU haltech and 1uz wiring.

For all the excellent content Kelvin has produced over the years, IMO this latest one is not good - Its just reconfiguring multiple existing tune files and troubleshooting errors - and I think this vid would only serve to confuse anyone who is trying to setup a Haltech or the first time. There...

Good things take time and all that. Here are the latest pics. Charcoal canister and fuel filter mounted with heat sleeve applied liberally Power steering and coolant reservoirs mounted on a very solid bracket. Very itchy after all the thermal wrapping The drivers side couldn't go...

    A340 Valve Body Upgrade

Cheers mate - the Haltech software is excellent in this regard and can be setup for closed loop learning on pressure. Will definitely share the results. These are the basic options - they can be expanded significantly

    A340 Valve Body Upgrade

Yes and no - yes because adjusting the cable will give you more line pressure, and no because having a linear relationship between throttle and line pressure is only ideal for NA applications... and somewhat to supercharged engines. If I was building a race car, then cable line pressure would...

    A340 Valve Body Upgrade

Through the process of building turbo 1UZ E36 BMW, I'm changing the valve body so it can handle boost more effectively. PROBLEM - the Soarer 1UZ A340E valve body uses: cable from the throttle body to control line pressure (the more right foot you give it, the more pressure you get) solenoid to...

The 1UZ is a far bit lighter than the cast iron boat anchor that came out... so I'll need to get the front down.
