    1UZ Firing Order

    I won't be doing anything soon! But when the time comes for new cams I will be trying this thats for sure. For N/A cars with individual throttle bodys there probably isn't as much of a gain but for anyone using a common inlet manifold, turbo or supercharged it would help.

    Anything that promotes more even cylinder filling has to be a good thing! I don't understand why some people would be against this?

    1UZ Valves Interchangeable with 2JZGTE

    The 2JZ valve stems will not 'cause' more lift but they will 'allow' you to have more lift before the springs bind up.(each coil touchs eachother) So you can run a bigger lift cam with higher installed spring height. It will generate more flow if the ports are capable of flowing the extra air.

    My mistake earlier I said around 500kw when it should have been 550HP Ford motor specs from the factory! Horsepower @ RPM: 550@6,500 Torque @ RPM (lb ft): 500@3,750

    I was just about to post that their motors are 4 valves per cyl ( the GT and XR8 ) Fords lesser varietys are 3 valve heads definitely.

    5.5 litre all alloy V8 motor sounds better to me! (we can always add twin turbo ourselves) I hope the keep around square so it revs very well also even though unlikely as it going into a 4WD (I can still hope) ;)

    Just stating another fact that Ford has 4 cams in its 5.4 as well and put out 290kw as standard. Their supercharged version puts out 500kw standard from memory?

    In a stock Soarer with 4-1 custom extractors and twin 2.5" exhaust I ran a 15.1 so in a lighter car you should get 14's fairly easy

    Phisical install is easy with pioneer. Wiring is dificult if you dont know whats what. I am putting together a wiring diagram atm. Are you planning on keeping the stock amps?

    Questions about the 1uz rods?

    Anyone know if the 1UZ VVTi rods are weaker than the earlier 1UZFE rods? Also how do both compare to the 3UZ rods? As an example the 1JZGTTE VVTi's are weaker than the normal 1JZGTTE rods.

    Have you measured the resitance of them lately? I had some Top Gun leads and was suprised how fast the deteriorated.
