    egr valve and idle 94 LS 400

    Can a bad egr valve cause idle problems? This car runs about 1100 rpm's at idle.You can tap the egr valve a time or two and it will idle at 650 and run great till you turn it off and restart. then back to high idle. thanks in advance.

    94 LS 400...High idle after major tune up

    I performed a major tune up (cap, rotor button, plugs, and wires, throotle body cleaned). Now the idle spead is about 1200rpm. I can tap with something hard like a screwdriver on the idle air control valve body and it will fall to about 650rpm's and run perfectly until the car is turned...
