I think the main reason why the Skyline GTR is more popular is because it has the All Wheel Drive system where the Supra's only have Rear Wheel. You can easly launch a GTR from a set of lights at 9000rpm, try that in a Supra and see what happens.

This is my setup, back when I was doing my conversion I had no other choice. And the other end All I did was cut the original Crown lines in half, silver brazed on brass nippled and joined them back together with rated pressure pipe. Works fine and has never leaked is cheap and easy

I did the shim thing on my trans (89 crown half cut, Not sure what model box it is) and also upped the line pressure. I used 8mm shims on 1st and 2nd, and 2mm on the regulator for the line pressure The gear shifts are heaps faster (but still don't chirp the tyres), If you nail it from a stand...

What about if you left the car in first gear/low gear? wouldn't this be able to turn the dyno easy and give out a higher figure? Eg: A mate of mine had the same car as me (V6 holden 5spd manual's) a few years back, His car recorded 110kw atw, and mine on a different dyno recorded 85kw atw. Yet...

Can you change the boost on a compound setup? I have driven a V8 diesel with a compound turbo and yeah it had boost at idle.
