SAFC On Stockish LS400 Worth It

SMT6 is a piggyback like the S-AFC but unlike the s-afc you can alter the timing as well. As most of the time you will see 3-5hp per degree of advance, but at the expense of coming closer to the detonation barrier. That is why i tune stock n/a vehicles that run with 87 octane to run on 94 and...

SAFC On Stockish LS400 Worth It

How would you expect to see power? Maybe leaning out the fuel mixture at higher rpm? If youw ant to see power the best unit is something that advances timing. That is what im attempting with the smt6 on several stock engines. Going to 94 octane and making a new timing curve for it. I have...

    Piggyback ECU Perfect Power ECU

yep using TPS is simple... how do you have your map sensor hooked up? Another trick is to pinch the map line a bit to help slow down the vacum changes caused by the ITB's no problem man!

    Piggyback ECU Perfect Power ECU

ANY loading device will work so yes TPS/MAF/AFM/MAP will all work :) However if you go with ITBS you can still use a map sensor like some bikes use, what you do is tap each ITB unit and join them all togheter and connect to a map sensor. Group buy is coming up in the near future 8 forums...

well **** after reading what you are doing there.... I would strongly advise you to step away from piggybacks....standalone is something you might want to be interested in to protect that investment!

yep i can provide you with a full out wiring diagram for you i just need to get access to some BGB wiring diagrams for the ecu. So you are twincharging the engine? Hehe joining me! I am also in the works of twincharging the tacoma. The smt6 will still do the job, the smt7's advantages are as...

for the tundra i would advise using the smt6 unless you want to turbo it and go nuts with the engine. I really want to work on a tundra around here but nobody wants to "tune" it :) Damn but yes they will, the tundra uses the same Distiless system as the tacoma 3.4L (like all other disti less...

    Piggyback ECU Perfect Power ECU

THAT is key...i get NON stop questions on how do i do that? Or from people who enjoy picking at the SMT units saying "oh yea thats not possible" yet dont understand what i try to tell them.. "na man that wont work" Its using the ouput functions in the units a long with your brains and the...

All the versions...they have a new flash update that you have to do when you buy them. Thats whats great about the smt7 you can always flash update the unit when a new revision comes out.

Toyota has a read only memory system this makes it UNABLE to be tuned unless you get a proper tech tom rom tune software and make daughter boards for the units to replacfe the ROM.

SMt7 has been reprogrammed to work on toyota signals, i sent them a sample and now everything should work fine. The 1uz has a disti anyway so all disti signals have been programmed since day one.

Whoa i hate coming in late to these discussions but as soon as i read that ONE thing stood out. WHOA REATARTED (timing that is) That is your ecu fighting the piggy back as well...the tune is not looking like its up to snuff at all... When you are using the ftc are you pulling fuel using it...

    Cams?

Dont forget you dont have to pay for duty and taxes with regrinds as they are warrenty repair items Plus who says the shims will fly out :P Maybe look into getting shimless buckets because it is 33% lighter then standard buckets which helps at higher RPMS.

    Cams?

I would also like to add that toyota does use a hardner on the cams at a certain layer. The cam grinder i use avoids going through that layer to help keep original life out of the cams. Of course this limits the amount that can be grounded off but for people who want similar to OEM life :)...
