I understand it is less than ideal but I know of more than a few members who run an FMU. I am in a country with no dynos and no tuners and I do not want to deal with fighting the ecu when it keeps relearning the tune from a piggyback so I have decided to stick with manual tuning via FMU (and...
How much horsepower will 250cc injectors support with 10:1 FMU. Online calculators say approx 400 crank if my math is correct but some members have talked about leaning out much earlier...any ideas?
Which FMU ratio should be adequate with 300cc injectors?
another option.....older 1uzfe with 2 uzfe bottom end (machine 2uz pistons .06 and custom motor mounts) will net you similar performance to vvti with the ability to boost later on
If you are boostig:, injectors, fuel pump (gs430/walboro 255lph), and FMU. For low boost, your motor should be fine since GS400 guys run the superchargers and get 350whp with weaker rods than yours. At minimum 300-325whp dhould be completely safe...
Best bang for the buck:
Go with an inexpensive high stall torque converter to shave .5 off your quarter mile http://www.gopnh.com/
and
swap out mid pipe for a 2.5 inlet dual 2.5 outlet. Remove mufflers and rear resonators to and replace with straight resonators and straight through mufflers...

what are your HP goals? unless you are going upwards of 400 whp, I can't see why you need forged... If you are looking for 500-600whp you may want to look at the threads of some of the other members who are having heads lift at 600whp even with best of everything and major coin....not trying to...
I am looking into 3rzfe Tacoma injectors...same plug, same ohm, and rated at 300cc...If you can find those local to compare if they physically fit into rail this may be an option for you but it will only drop your duty cycle down to 90%ish
Typically rear mount turbos do not create as much lag as people think.Just use a slightly small hot side and you won't even notice a difference....and obviously a high stall torque converter if running an automatic....
In my understanding, you won't even be able to run 315cc injectors without running into idling problems.Stock Ecu can only compensate 15%ish (285-290cc injectors). I am currently working on a 300cc 3rzfe injector swap with an FMU to remedy this very issue..
If they work, this would allow the use of a slight larger injector that could still be used with an FMU without worrying about running too rich at idle or going to 100% duty cycle on stock injectors.Perfect solution for budget boost....
Edit: I have verified that these 3rzfe injectors will fit in the same 1uzfe plugs and that ohm rating is only .1 ohm difference with a flow rate of 300cc which is optimal for a low boost setup. I just need to find one to compare to 1 uzfe to verify that it fits in the rail...If anyone wants to...
I know the RX7s will work with aftermarket ECU to lean them out...I am looking for injectors for mild boost that are small enough to run with ecu but big enough to run with FMU to allow for 350-375 whp. Stockers will be at 100% duty cycle or go lean at those levels....
