Post from Motorheaddown Hey guys, Scott dropped by yesterday, and we went for a spin. Here is what he posted up on CL: "I was in Ryan's neighborhood yesterday and stopped by to catch up and see the status of his build. His attention to detail combined with a lot of patience is beginning to...

John, good question...Depende upon the day...In Florida, at this time of year, it can range tremendously....From 100 degrees to 50 degrees. it has been between 92 and 70 mainly. I have had hot and cooler days with this set up, John...So Far, it has not mattered...Time will tell. Yep, lots...

Success At Last!! No Overheating!! As the caption headlines, it appears that I have resolved the overheating issue. Combining the (2) SPAL 14" fans along with the Custom Shroud from TCP Performance is a winning combination! They have worked like a champ since I have installed the Combo. No...

John, you are welcome. And, I do understand. I still may have to add a secondary radiator to resolve the issue, if it becomes a problem. Experience and the "Acid" test will reveal if it is up to snuff. After all, I believe the Bugatti Veyron employs 16 radiators to cool itself. so, we know...

New intake good for an extra 50rwhp.

Thanks for clearing that up Justen...:) I understood what he meant about the vertical flow IC vs the horizontal flow IC. In fact, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away...I had an earlier version of a turbo set up that had a Bell designed and built IC that was vertical flow, for the very reason...

Parts 1uz V160 clutch and flywheel set up FS

That is a real great deal for that set up. I never have checked into what Quartermaster claims the clutch can handle regarding HP. Does anybody happen to know? Ryan

Cooling, cooling, cooling...Take it serious... Ok, Another update. I definitely decided not to mount the fans direct to the radiator, or even try it that way...I am not willing to go another try at "might it work without the shroud?" I made a couple of mock up cardboard fan shrouds after...

    Should I or shouldn't I?

Rod, why not just keep the car for you as is, drive it for fun when you get the itch, store it the rest of the time, and then just buy a clean and inexpensive ride for your son? If he likes the older Soarers, why not buy him a stock, clean one and call it a day? At least you don't get killed...

Update on fans Well, I found I had a mess with the wires connected to the relays for the fans...I do not know how they got connected that way as I do not understand how the fans would have even fired up...Anyway, I pulled up a fan diagrams off the web and figured it all out. The harnesses are...
